Lightweight frame walls

The graphs are named in the following way:

 

Stud types are described with the type of stud, the thickness and then the stud distance in paranthese, for example WS90(406).

  • WS - Wooden stud

  • SS - Steel stud

  • SWS - Staggered wooden stud

  • SSS - Staggered steel stud

  • WSR - Wooden stud with resilient bar

  • SSR - Steel stud with resilient bar

  • DWS - Double wooden stud with air gap in between

  • DSS - Double steel stud with air gap in between

  • MR/XR - Acoustic steel stud, vary in performance depending on manufacture

 

Number of panels on each side are displayed with letters on each side of a forward slash, for example G/G or GG/GG with one or two layers of gypsum on each side.

  • G - Gypsum board, thickness and density vary depending on measurements

  • O - OSB board

  • P - Plywood

 

Insulation in the cavity is displayed in the end with letters describing the type and numbers describing the thickness, for example M90.

  • M - Mineral wool
